I used the http://www.chicagoillinoisbusinesslist.com/ to list an apartment company http://www.resideliving.com. This seemed to be very helpful for our business. I would also post on the Chicago Craig’s List and the local apartment websites

One thing I have discovered is to search for classified sites that are city specific. This is because the larger classified sites like Craigslist just get so oversaturated that your ads become lost in the mix.
