Where Can I find free advertising for my new business?

Post your WANT. It’s like Craigslist, but reversed. And really different. At Ubokia, you’re the rockstar. Post exactly what you want and sellers respond to you. Only talk to sellers you choose.

Question by Mrs. G: Where Can I find free advertising for my new business?

We are an Adult Novilty and Lingerei Retail store.

The best free advertising is word of mouth. You didnt mention what your business is, but when we started ours, we printed flyers and posted them on every single bulletin board we could find with business cards. From liquor stores and restaurants, to laundry mats we hit them all with flyers. This got our name out there in front of people.
When we did a job for someone (we are an autoglass replacement company) we would give them 5 extra business cards and tell them that if they thought we did a good job and they were happy with our service, to please tell 5 friends about us and give them our card!
This worked wonders for us!
Good luck to you!

It depends on what kind of business you have… word of mouth always seems to help, but signs really do “point you” in the right direction. If you have an internet store, using eBay as a tool to let people know you are there. The internet Yellow Pages lists businesses for free and so does Yahoo… on yahoo, you can even have your business rated and described !

Try craigslist or make a myspace page.
