Q&A: How would I advertise my website for free?

by tyankee7 on November 1, 2013

Post your WANT. It’s like Craigslist, but reversed. And really different. At Ubokia, you’re the rockstar. Post exactly what you want and sellers respond to you. Only talk to sellers you choose.

Google Adwords gave me a promotional code for $ 100 free in advertising because I registered (but never started a campaign.) I have yet to use it, so I have no idea how effective it will be. I’m assuming for Google it’s a small investment for them to get you to spend more in the future.

If you have an interesting enough website or article you can do well on social bookmarking websites.

Forums, Comments, and Exchanging Articles with back-links seems to be popular also.

If you can do it your self then it will be free other wise will not.
To do it your self you can do some processes only as:
Write Article and Blog about your business and post on the sites that accepts article and blogs.
Search Bookmarking sites and get your site bookmarked there.
Go on social networking and media sites and advertise there for your business.

Well, how about telling everyone what your website is. Depending upon the topic, that will usually determine the best way to go to get readers. But, if you have a hot friend, just get her to write your URL on her chest. That’d a good jump start to any business.

Unless your website is about law.

Many sites allow you to advertise for free. If you have a business, make sure to affiliate with as many listing services as you can to get the word out about your business for free. Places such as:

http://www.AngiesList.com
http://www.ProsOnTheCheap.com
http://www.YBYellow.com

Also, check for each search engine if there is a way to get your website listed. Google and Yahoo and larger ones such as those require no submission. The crawlers will automatically find your website and rank it accordingly. If you want a higher ranking, look into “Search Engine Optimization.”
