Q&A: Have you ever accepted a free makeover from a department store counter and never bought anything?

Post your WANT. It’s like Craigslist, but reversed. And really different. At Ubokia, you’re the rockstar. Post exactly what you want and sellers respond to you. Only talk to sellers you choose.

Question by Crane: Have you ever accepted a free makeover from a department store counter and never bought anything?
How did it go? Did you feel awkward?

I am really interested in getting some advice on how I might change my makeup routine, and especially to see first-hand how it might look, but I have no money in my budget for department store brand makeup. Would it be inappropriate to take advantage of an advertised free makeover with no intention to buy?

Well one time I went to Sephora with my cousin, and we were hanging around the Bare Minerals section. My cousin asked one of the staff members to show her how to do a smokey eye effect. And yeah, went great. We then bought some lipgloss ahaha.
So, I guess you can just hang around the items you like, and wait for one of the staff members to come to you; then you can ask if they can show you how to change your everyday makeup routine, with whatever you were looking at, or wanting. When they do do your makeup and you really do like it, go ahead and buy it. If not, tell them your honest opinion (:

Get yourself down to Sephora or Ulta, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Don’t feel awkward about not buying anything, just let them know you’re only looking for some suggestions. The best part is that they will more than likely offer you samples of whatever your interested in, and if they don’t just ask them. Happy hunting!!
