How to advertise furniture moving business?

by tyankee7 on May 25, 2013

Post your WANT. It’s like Craigslist, but reversed. And really different. At Ubokia, you’re the rockstar. Post exactly what you want and sellers respond to you. Only talk to sellers you choose.

Question by booboo: How to advertise furniture moving business?

I just bought a pickup truck and want to deliver items for people in the Boston area. Basically doing pickups and deliveries of Craiglist items, usually furniture.

I started using Craigslist but many of my ads got flagged (not sure why!). However I wanted to find other ways to advertise for free.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I came across a really useful site last week. The company is called Wowzzy. Google them. They’re a resource for small business owners trying to increase their online presence.

I looked into it, they aren’t free but the price is $ 65.00 a year. Not bad at all when you thing about the high prices of marketing firms, seo managers etc.

Good luck with your business!

I’m a big eBay user and have used this site to have large items shipped in the past . It works like eBay except that it is for shipping and moving. I just did a quick check and they currently have 13 items that both start and end in MA. If you are willing to drive out of state there are 147 that start in MA. It’s free to bid on shipments but if you book a shipment they will take a cut.

Craigslist is your best bet for this type of thing… stick at it, flagging is all part of the game you play with CL and their users.
